Brothers and I were accustomed to hard thrashings from the old man - can't remember ever getting it any other way than naked - some of our mates didn't get this type of punishment and were curious. We'd find an out of the way place, borrow some of the old man's equipment, restrain them to a tree and let them have it. Some did, in fact, come back for me. At one stage as an unruly teenager I'd be thrashed several times in the one week!!!
